Fundraiser for Ukraine this Saturday – United for Ukraine! Save the date!

On Saturday the 12th we are organizing a fundraiser for Ukraine.  Very last minute as the needs are urgent!  Complete details to follow, but we hope you will join us;

Fundraiser for Ukraine

When:  Saturday, March 12th, 12:30 to 3:00 

Where: RE Institute, 1395 Boston Corners Road, Millerton, NY 12546

Highlights:

Michel from Champetre will prepare a typical Ukrainian stuffed cabbage dish

Jerry and Jack Peele of Herondale Farm and Jacuterie will prepare a traditional barbecue with Ukrainian flair

Mary O’Brien of Chaiwalla is baking for us

Local resident and chef Matthew Lodes is preparing a Shitake/Ricotta Varenyky (Pierogies) with creme fraiche
and toasted walnuts

Ukrainian volunteers from Sheffield Alicia and Jorge Szendiuch will cook a Ukrainian Borscht

Robert owner of Le Gamin from Sharon will prepare a special fare for us

Delicious wine and water will be served thanks to Antoine from Le Caviste in Stamfordville

Silent auction for local art! Bring your checkbooks!

We are collecting funds for Sunflower of Peace and World Central Kitchen, and Razom plus the orphans evacuated from Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities to Poland.

Tickets are $150 with 100% of the proceeds going to aid Ukraine

Of course, we are aware that many people have contributed already but it’s clear that there is much pain and suffering that won’t abate any time soon. We are hoping that you will do two things:
