A village-wide Scarecrow Contest, Pancake Breakfast, Beer Fest, 5K rail-trail run, local food, games, crafts, and more! Wander Main Street for attic treasures and previously-loved books and jewelry in the villages’ churches. Admire the beautiful quilt show. Purchase homemade baked goods and local honey and sample freshly-baked bread. Visit the many booths along the street and stop in the local shops for special sales. Participate in a 5K run along the rail trail. Enjoy hot dogs, Greek pastries, baked potatoes with toppings,chili and cornbread, and mac ‘n cheese. Don’t miss the special book sales at the library and bookstore. Look for local artisans selling hand-made jewelry, pottery, textiles, and crafts. Listen to live music by the Salisbury Band and the Joint Chiefs. Enjoy delicious apples, popcorn, and cider. Visit the art galleries and the exhibit at the Historical Society. Cast your vote in the Scarecrow Contest. Bring the kids! They’ll enjoy magic shows, hayrides, games,face painting, pumpkin decorating, and crafts. Make autumn garlands and wreaths at a free workshop. In the evening, enjoy a delicious roast beef dinner and a concert by The Salisbury Sinfonietta performing “The Pirates of Penzance” at the Sharon Playhouse. Sunday begins with the annual pancake breakfast, followed by a fun Pet Parade. There’s photos and prizes for all! Throughout the day visit the local artisans, book sales, and historical and art exhibits. End the weekend at the Beer-Fest up at the ski jumps with gorgeous views of the Litchfield Hills and Berkshire Mountains.
