Each year our family rejoices in the tradition of a Thanksgiving Day Hike at Bartholomew’s Cobble in Sheffield, MA, where we visit our favorite Copper Beech tree.
With time, and perhaps without realization, this tree has become a family heirloom – a place of fond memories, laughter, and love. Our love of this tree has often reminded us of the children’s book The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein – this Copper Beech tree was our “Giving Tree”.
