Spring Tree Planting with HVA
Join us for the first big planting of the season. In continuation of our efforts to protect our wetlands and watershed, and establish habitat, we will be planting different willow species along the Tenmile River and around the ponds at Harlem Valley Homestead. We’ve planted over 1000 trees on the farm so far, and this is a chance to plant more.
We will learn tree-planting basics and have time to discuss efforts to protect the local ecology. Feel free to bring a picnic for hanging out after the planting.
