2021 Haunted Hamlet and Monster’s Ball

Come join us for another outdoor Halloween event!

Last year, we threw a Haunted Parade featuring five artist-designed floats and tons of free candy. This year, it’s a Haunted Hamlet. Instead of floats, we’ll feature seven PG-rated art installations/trick-or-treating stations around Maxon Mills and the Luther Barn field. From 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, explore an all-encompassing banana invention hut from Paul Belenky, a giant Plinko game (with real prizes!) from David Diamond and Pete Vigeant, a mutant forest from Melinda Kiefer and Christopher Santiago, dancing candy spirits from Grace Lang, a Halloween-themed “Let’s Make a Deal” game led by a game show host zombie from Katrina Majkut, a fairytale witches hut from TJ Greenway and Ben Philipp, a scavenger hunt for kids from Ben Pinder, and a fibrous candy monster from Ana Maria Farina and Hannah Washburn. The event is free for all ages, but RSVP below so we can get enough candy!

At 7:00 PM, we’ll head over to The Lantern for the triumphant return of our Monster’s Ball, featuring a costume contest and live music from Taraka, Ritz Carlton, and Vemilo. Please note that Monster’s Ball tickets must be purchased in advance and that all attendees must wear a costume. Meaning: no day-of or at-the-door sales and uncostumed ball-goers will be turned away, even with a ticket. We’re not kidding! Dress to impress, dance ‘til you drop.
