Welcome to the Northwest Corner and our tri-state neighborhood.
One of the best of the many activities and events in our wonderful corner of America is a unique and highly-acclaimed music experience — four Baroque music concerts, sponsored each summer by the Northwest Music Association at no charge to the public.
The Association is a not-for-profit organization (funded entirely by donations from community businesses, friends and neighbors like you!) that each year brings to our community top-level professional musicians, many of whom are internationaly-known as soloist and ensemble players, to perform Baroque chamber and orchestral works in the beautiful St. John’s Church on Salisbury’s picturesque Main Street. In recent years, our featured ensemble, The New Baroque Soloists, under the direction of Doug Myers, has included two gold medal winners of the International Tchaikovsky Competitions.
St John’s Church is known for its acoustical quality, and — also important in July and August — its air conditioning. Each concert is followed by a wine and hors d’oeuvres reception, where everyone has a chance to talk with the musicians.
The 2019 concerts will take place on four consecutive Wednesdays at 5 pm
July 24, 31 and August 7, 14
