Explore the greater Hudson Valley Region by walking, running or bicycling along along miles of flat terrain that wind through our beautiful countryside.
The area is also heavily woven with scenic rail trails that have progressively evolved with our communities.
The tristate region was historically a bustling hub of agriculture – an area that demanded railway accessibility to import and export goods. Over time, these railways became less essential for transportation but remained a valued piece of our Berkshire culture. Slowly the unused portions of level ground that meandered through scenic terrain were embraced as historic recreational gems.
Harem Valley Rail Trail – Millerton, NY – our favorite! just minutes from MetroNorth in Wassaic, this rail trail meanders into the quaint village of Millerton and then continues to Bash Bish Falls which lies in the Mt. Washington, MA & Copake, NY state lines.
