On February 23 at 11 am, Noble Horizons physical therapists, Kaitlyn Duerr, PT, DPT, and Kim Tormay OTR/L will present, “Chronic Pain Management without Opioids: Utilizing Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy for Chronic Pain Management.”
Kim Tormay is a registered and licensed occupational therapist who uses holistic, client-centered, evidence-based treatment methods. She has worked with clients aged 55 and over for almost a decade, has presented at the National Conference of the American Occupational Therapy Association and is a Certified Dementia Practitioner.
Kaitlyn Duerr is a Magna Cum Laude graduate with a Doctor of Physical Therapy from Sacred Heart University. Kaitlyn specializes in orthopedic sports medicine and individualized physical therapy. Welcome Spring with a Free Planting Workshop
What better way to prepare for spring than to design and plant a Sedum Tablescape with Noreen Driscoll of Sweethaven Farm! At 11 am on March 2, workshop guests may select several varieties of sedums and succulents to create a mini-landscape planter (planters provided). These low maintenance plants are widely popular because of their hardiness, great structural shapes, and quick growth!
Ms. Driscoll, a well-known garden, event, and floral designer, has led design workshops for over 20 years. Enjoy Vintage Desserts with Jessie Sheehan
On March 9 at 11 am, Noble Horizons invites you to enjoy a taste of the good old days with acclaimed author and baker Jessie Sheehan who will prepare and share samples of two delicious desserts from her newest book, The Vintage Baker. Named a Best Cookbook of 2018 by The Washington Post, Rachel Ray Every Day raved, “our favorite baking book…Sweeten up any day with this adorable book…full of great recipes.” Ms. Sheehan will prepare chocolate walnut marshmallow fudge and butterscotch potato chip balls during her demonstration and her guests may not only imbibe in a taste of each but purchase her books which she will sign.
Ms. Sheehan is a baker and food writer who develops recipes and contributes to many periodicals and cookbooks, including Fine Cooking, Food52, and Epicurious. In 2015 she published her first book, Icebox Cakes, featured in The New York Times and Vanity Fair among many others. Oprah Magazine described the recipes in The Vintage Baker as “sweet throwbacks (with a couple of genius upgrades).” Nigella Lawson added, “Just reading <The Vintage Baker> puts me in a very happy place.”
