Here is what happened –
I was driving back from Ashley Falls the back way through Bartholomew’s Cobble to Weatogue Road when on a sunny Sunday afternoon when I spotted the Bald Eagle in the road eating a small animal. My car, even at a slow roll, startled the bird and he flew about 50 ft. down the road in front of me and perched in a tree about 40 ft. up. I pulled over and snapped the picture. There was another vehicle who had seen the bird from the other direction and the women driver pulled
over also to observe the bird.
Just another reason to live in the Berkshires!
